First of all, I love Sailor Moon and I have nothing against it, but I'm very tired of some people who spend all the day saying that some Magical Girls Shows more moderns than Sailor Moon (like Tokyo Mew Mew, Corrector Yui, Wedding Peach, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, etc...) are all copies or parodies of Sailor Moon. It's because i want to do this post, to show that Sailor Moon is also a copy of several oldest things since Naoko Takeuchi was a bit copycat to do her Sailor Moon series.

-First thing: Idol Densetsu Eriko
Idol Densetsu Eriko is an idol anime that starts on April 1989. Maybe it's only a coincidence, but Rei (the rival of Eriko) has a very like style as queen serenity in some episodes.
-Second thing: Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine
Bishoujo Kamen Potrine is a magical girl live action that starts on January 1990. The main heroine is a lot like Sailor V (also she has the power to transform in all that she want, like sailor moon using her pen and sailor v using her crescent moon), and in the middle of the show appear a Mini Poitrine that reminds you so much for the idea of Sailor Chibi Moon:
-Third Thing: Idol Tenshi Youkoso Yoko
Youkoso Yoko is an anime that starts on April 1990. The protagonist Yoko is very similar to Chibiusa:
- Fourth Thing: Mahou no Angel Sweet Mint
Mahou no Angel Sweet Mint is a magical girl anime that starts on May 1990. The protagonist Sweet Mint has exactly the same powers when usagi uses her Moon Power transformation with her Pen:
- Fifth Thing: Naoko as a thief of old staff
There are a lot of coincidences between some Sailor Moon staff and the old fashion and art. So, Naoko steal all these staff to put in her show.
Conclusion
The magical girls are not copies, just resemble each other because they share the same genre. And if you say a more modern magical girl than Sailor Moon is a copy, keep in mind that Sailor Moon it is also one.
