Concept / Plot

Ultra Chiks is the tittle of the first episode of the second season of Megas XLR cartoon. In this episode four girls called the Ultra Cadets (Nova, Pulsar, Galaxia and Comet) appear as a clear parody of Sailor Moon.

Their transformations and outfits are like the Sailor Senshi ones. Galaxia transform with a hand painting her nails like in Moon Prism Power, also her transformation pose is like Sailor Mercury. Pulsar transformation pose is like Sailor Venus finishing it like Sailor Jupiter. Comet transformation pose is like Sailor Mars. Nova has a long transformation like Sailor Moon (also her appearance is like her), her transformation pose is like Sailor Mars finishing it like Sailor Jupiter.

Ultra Chicks - Transformation and Powers

Also in the middle of Nova's transformation, the three other girls appear posing like in the Sailor Moon R Movie Introduction. They also has teleportation powers using sequences for all the girls like the Moon Healing Escalation attack.

They also can transform into giant robots and they can use specials powers in this form. The attack of Nova's Robot seems to be a mix of the Moon Gorgeous Meditation attack and the Pink Sugar Heart Attack.

Appearance in Megas XRL cartoon

Ultra Chicks - Episode

Airdate: October 16, 2004

Four Sailor Senshi-style space girls, the Ultra Cadets, appear and transform in front of Jamie. They are searching for Coop. In an effort to impress them, Jamie poses as Coop in hopes of tricking the girls into falling in love with him. He is taken to their planet with their teleportation powers, Jamie heads off with the attractive women and he enjoys his time in the limelight, though when Jamie realizes what exactly it is that he has to fight, he realizes that it’s not so easy to live up to Coop’s reputation. He learns the Ultra Cadets’ city is in trouble from a giant fire monster called Kurdock. Armed only with an age-old, feminine robot, Jamie “fights” Kurdock and defeats it launching him at the volcano, the way Coop always does: sheer luck. However, Coop arrives with Megas to save Jamie and gets into a fight with the Ultra Cadets transformed into mechanized giant robots. After leaving the planet, the Ultra Cadets find out that Jamie had thrown Kurdock into a volcano which made him more powerful. The episode ends with the more powerful Kurdock rising from the volcano about to attack their city.
