Magical Warrior Diamond Heart is an LGBT+ romance dramedy visual novel inspired by magical girl anime. Play as Valerie Amaranth and decide the fate of the world while trying to smooch lots of cuties! Will Val defeat the Nightmares, make new friends, and find the love of her life along the way? Or will she meet her tragic end?

Magical Warrior Diamond Heart is made to be played multiple times. The game has multiple endings and scene variations depending on your relationship with the cast, and characters will react to and remember previous choices you've made. Characters may even react differently depending on how the player chooses to interact with others, meaning tons of content to explore!

MWDH explores love, family, and coming of age. The story includes some themes that may be distressing to others, including mental health struggles, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and abuse. This story also depicts magic-based violence, blood/injury, and body horror.

Plot[]

The Crystal Kingdom of Chalcedonia was once a beautiful place, under the rule of Princess Rosalia, they lived happy peaceful lives. Until one day, monsters called Nightmares destroyed the kingdom. Princess Rosalia and her fairy knight Diana hid deep in the castle, praying that their last hope, the magical Rose Crystal Mirror would produce a miracle, and save their home. However, they were attacked by the leader of the Nightmare Agency, Druzy. Diana fought helplessly before finding herself transported to Earth, but her Princess was nowhere to be seen.

Unfortunately, the nightmares began to attack this new world too. Valerie Amaranth, an ordinary 16-year-old, has her world changed forever when she receives the powers of the Legendary Crystal Warrior Diamond Heart. Now with the help of Diana, she must find her allies, defeat the Nightmares, and rescue the missing princess Rosalia.

Valerie Amaranth[]

Valerie is the protagonist of the story and the main POV character. She is a cheerful, silly, and energetic sixteen year old girl. She's impulsive and a bit naive, but she more than makes up for it through sheer determination and perseverance! She's friendly, sweet, and is totally boy-crazy! (and girl-crazy… and everything-in-between-crazy!)

She's been best friends with Ethan and Sophie since middle school, and she trusts them more than anyone.

After having a strange nightmare about a magical princess named Rosalia, Val unlocks the powers to transform into a magical girl: the legendary Crystal Warrior of love and hope, Diamond Heart! Now with her fairy partner Diana, she must rescue the missing princess and fight the evil Nightmare Agency, who plan on putting the world into eternal sleep.

Sophia Anderson[]

Sophie is the hardworking and reliable student council vice-president. She is friendly and energetic toward her friends, but she can be stern and cold toward people she is uncomfortable around.

She can be very strict when it comes to her grades as well as the grades of her friends, often scolding Ethan and Valerie when they don’t get their work done in a timely fashion. She's very curious and is always rambling on about her latest discovery. She has a soft spot for frogs and reptiles, and keeps several as pets.

She becomes a magical girl on her 17th birthday in order to protect her friends from the Nightmare Agent Opal. She transforms into the Crystal Warrior of intelligence and clarity, Sapphire Heart and her element is ice.

Clover Vermillion[]

Clover is the wealthy (former) heiress of the incredibly powerful Vermillion family. She's charismatic, elegant, and a true upper-class lady.

While she has no problem making a good first impression, she is very shy and can be a bit of a crybaby. She's a bit arrogant, however, she is very sweet and loves her family with all her heart. She greatly admires her older sister Lotus and aspires to be just like her someday.

She meets Valerie by chance after hearing the shocking news that her sister, Lotus, had quit her modelling career. After her sister is attacked by the Nightmare Agency, she transforms into the Crystal Warrior of fantasy and starlight, Amethyst Heart, in order to protect her.

Zacharie Pelletier[]

Flirty, fun, and overflowing with energy, Zacharie always has a smile on their face. They always do their best to remain optimistic despite how hard things can get. They don't get along with their parents and they live with their aunt Paulina

Many people find them a bit eccentric and overwhelming, but they are pretty popular, especially with girls. They are a bit pushy and impatient, but they means no harm and they have a kind heart. They are a good friend of Ethan's.

After seeing their friends in danger, they immediately gain the ability to transform into the Crystal Warrior of joy and fortune, Citrine Heart. They have powers over sunshine and light.

Amber[]

Amber is a fairy from Glimmer. “Energetic” doesn’t even begin to describe Amber, she rushes full speed and puts her all into everything she does. Amber can be pretty blunt, sloppy, and kind of gross, But some might say that’s part of her charm! She‘s pretty forgetful, and often nicknames people based on memorable traits.

She strongly dislikes Princess Rosalia and holds a grudge against Diana viewing her as a traitor. Despite their disdain for each other the two of them seem to be childhood friends.

As a former Royal Knight, Amber is extremely passionate about her duties as a Crystal Warrior, and is very honest and brave. She transforms into the warrior of Courage and Protection, Amber Heart. Her powers are over electricity.

Alex Harvey[]

Alex is one of the most popular guys at school and for good reason: He's a genuinely friendly and fun guy to be around!

Alex is hardworking, easy-going, athletic, and has a great sense of humor! But he also has a serious and virtuous side. Despite being a senior, he’s in the same junior-level English class as Val. Alex has a very big family who he cares for deeply, and he is a devout Catholic.

He gets along surprisingly well with Liam, and considers him one of his closest friends. The two of them are practically inseparable.

He transformed into Garnet Heart in order to protect his family from the Nightmares, and represents passion and devotion. As Garnet Heart he has power over fire.

Liam Farrow[]

Liam is a genius who has never gotten less than 100% in anything. He comes from a very wealthy family and is considered to be destined for success. He is cold and difficult to approach, but despite his rotten attitude (or perhaps because of it?), He is very popular, often getting numerous love confessions from very bold students.

He's the student council president, but spends most of his time sleeping rather than assisting in student activities. His closest friend is Alex Harvey, his total opposite.

When he and Alex met Amber, a magical fairy from Glimmer, he soon after activated the powers to become the warrior of Kindness and Loyalty, Emerald Heart. However, he found himself having difficulties with using his powers.

As Emerald Heart he has powers over nature and plant-life.
