Barbie in the Nutcracker is a 2001 animated fantasy film co-produced by Mainframe Entertainment and Mattel Entertainment, and distributed by Artisan Home Entertainment.

Loosely adapted from E. T. A. Hoffmann's 1816 short story, "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King", and featuring music based from Tchaikovsky's 1892 ballet, The Nutcracker,

Plot[]

The story is told by Barbie to her little sister, Kelly, who is having trouble rehearsing a ballet solo and fears going onstage.

Clara lives with Drosselmeyer, her stern grandfather, and Tommy, her little brother. On the night of Christmas Eve, they receive a surprise visit from their aunt, Elizabeth. As a gift, Tommy receives toy soldiers, and Clara receives a Nutcracker from Elizabeth, who claims it contains the heart of a prince. Tommy, wanting Clara's new nutcracker to command the army of his new toys, attempts to wrestle it from her grasp, and damages the Nutcracker's arm, upsetting Clara greatly. Clara mends her new gift's arm, and falls asleep by the Christmas tree. At the stroke of Midnight, magical dust travels about the room, and Clara awakens to see her Nutcracker suddenly alive, and fighting an army of mice led by the wicked Mouse King. The Mouse King shrinks her down to his size, though Clara and her Nutcracker are able to make a swift escape.

The Nutcracker explains that he needs to find the Sugarplum Princess, the only person who can defeat the Mouse King's magic. The wise owl of the grandfather clock reveals that the Sugarplum Princess is also the only one who can make Clara her original size again. The owl gives Clara a locket from an ornament ballerina figurine that will send her back home when she opens it.

Through a portal in a mouse hole, The Nutcracker and Clara land in an ice cave. They escape with the help of a group of snow fairies and enter the Nutcracker's home of Parthenia. The two journey to a gingerbread village, where they meet two children and the horse Marzipan. The children tell them that the rightful heir to the throne, Prince Eric, has gone missing. The group narrowly escapes the Mouse King's army when they are saved by Major Mint and Captain Candy, who lead a small group of villagers in hiding. Mint reveals that Prince Eric's careless attitude led the former king to pronounce the Mouse as temporary ruler until Eric accepted his responsibilities. Clara realizes that the Nutcracker is the missing Prince Eric; when the Mouse decided he wanted to be king permanently, he turned Eric into a Nutcracker. Eric hopes to redeem himself and make things right again.

Clara and the Nutcracker, joined by Mint and Candy, set off on a journey to reach the Sugarplum Princess. While Mint and Candy prepare a boat, Clara and Nutcracker manage to free a group of flower fairies who had been trapped in a well by the Mouse King. The group is suddenly attacked by a rock giant, sent by the Mouse King to stop them from reaching the Princess. The snow fairies arrive and freeze the sea, followed by Marzipan pulling a sled, allowing the group to cross. The Nutcracker uses his sword to crack the ice, causing the rock giant to sink into the sea.

The group reaches the Princess's island, but it is revealed to be a trap and the Nutcracker, Mint, and Candy are caged and carried off by the Mouse King's bat henchman Pimm, leaving Clara behind. The flower fairies help carry Clara off the island and to the Mouse King's castle where she frees her friends. The Nutcracker battles with the Mouse King who has his own spell reflected back at him, shrinking him to the size of a real mouse and causing him to flee. The Nutcracker is severely injured and Clara kisses him whereupon he is restored to his true form as Eric. Clara, because she was able to break the spell and save her friends, is revealed herself to be the Sugarplum Princess. Eric is crowned king and the couple, who have fallen in love, dance as the citizens celebrate and the land is restored to its former natural beauty, ultimately sharing a kiss. The shrunken Mouse King returns riding on Pimm's back, and snatches Clara's locket, opening it before being knocked out of the sky with a snowball. At its open, the locket's magic activates, and Clara dematerializes before she can say goodbye, magically transported back home.

Clara wakes up where she fell asleep. The Nutcracker is missing, and she runs to her grandfather, who dismisses the story as her imagination. Just then, Aunt Elizabeth returns with a young man who is revealed to be Eric, whom she introduces to Clara. Eric asks her to dance. A snow globe shows Prince Eric and the Sugarplum Princess dancing happily in the palace courtyard.

As the story ends, Kelly realizes the importance of not giving up, and she and Barbie finally manage to dance the solo perfectly.

Barbie as Rapunzel is a 2002 animated fairy tale film co-produced by Mainframe Entertainment and Mattel Entertainment, and distributed by Artisan Home Entertainment.

An adaptation of the 1812 German fairy tale "Rapunzel" by the Brothers Grimm, it is the second in the Barbie film series, with Kelly Sheridan providing the voice of Barbie.

Plot[]

The story is told by Barbie to her little sister, Kelly, who is insecure in her painting abilities.

Rapunzel is a young woman with long, floor-length hair who lives as a servant to the wicked witch Gothel. Gothel claims she saved Rapunzel from abandonment as a baby, and resents Rapunzel's hobby of painting pictures of places she'd like to go someday. Gothel's manor is magically isolated from the rest of the world, so Rapunzel's only friends are Penelope, a young dragon, and Hobie, an anxious rabbit.

One day, Rapunzel and her friends inadvertently open a secret passage, where Rapunzel finds a silver hairbrush engraved with a message from her parents, affirming their love. This leads Rapunzel to question Gothel's story. They also find a mutilated portrait of a man. Following the secret passage, Rapunzel is led to the kingdom outside. She saves young Princess Katrina from a pit trap with the help of Katrina's elder brother Prince Stefan. He explains the trap was set by King Wilhelm of the neighboring country, who has an ongoing feud with Stefan's father King Frederick.

Rapunzel leaves in a rush without learning Stefan's name to avoid Gothel discovering her disappearance. However, Gothel's pet ferret Otto, who spies on Rapunzel for his mistress, tells Gothel all that happened. When Rapunzel insists she doesn't know Stefan's name, Gothel destroys Rapuzel's art and supplies, and transforms her room into a high tower. Gothel also threatens to punish Penelope's father Hugo if he does not keep Rapunzel prisoner. That night, as Rapunzel sleeps, the hairbrush magically transforms into a paintbrush.

When Rapunzel attempts to use the paintbrush on the tower wall, a portal to the kingdom magically appears. Rapunzel uses it to meet Stefan again, though she insists he never tell her his name for fear of Gothel. Stefan gives her an invitation to the masquerade ball that night. Returning through the portal to the tower, Rapunzel paints herself a beautiful costume, but is again betrayed by Otto. Gothel cuts off Rapunzel's hair, shatters the paintbrush, and destroys the tower side of the portal. When Rapunzel once again cannot give Stefan's name, Gothel puts a spell on the tower to never release its lying prisoner, and chains Hugo, intending to come back later and punish him.

With the help of Hugo, Hobie, and Penelope, Rapunzel escapes the tower; as she never lied about not knowing Stefan's name, the spell does not affect her. At the ball, Stefan is attacked by a disguised Gothel wearing Rapunzel's hair. King Wilhelm and his army also infiltrate the castle. Wilhelm accuses Frederick of kidnapping his daughter many years ago (the source of their feud); Gothel then reveals that Wilhelm was the man in the portrait. She loved him, but when he did not return her love, she destroyed the picture and kidnapped his child to start the feud, as revenge.

Gothel tries to kill Wilhelm, but Rapunzel arrives and Gothel attacks her instead. Wilhelm recognizes Rapunzel as his daughter, and Rapunzel and her friends trick Gothel and Otto into running through the Kingdom side of the portal. Gothel is trapped forever in the tower because of her lying heart, and her other spells are broken, releasing Hugo.

Rapunzel is reunited with her parents and marries Stefan. The feud ends, and the two kingdoms are united. In the end, Kelly feels better and begins painting after Barbie reminds her that creativity is the true magic in art.

Based on the Tchaikovsky ballet Swan Lake, it is the third in the Barbie film series, with Kelly Sheridan providing the voice of Barbie

Plot[]

The story is being told by Barbie to her little sister, Kelly, who is feeling uneasy about being at overnight camp for the first time.

Odette is a young woman who lives in a small village with her father and sister, and works in the family bakery. She is a talented dancer but is shy and timid about it. Meanwhile, Prince Daniel is informed by his mother that it is time for him to marry and she is hosting a ball for him to choose a wife. The men of the village go after a unicorn named Lila. She is followed by a curious Odette into an Enchanted Forest. Lila becomes caught in a bush, so Odette looks for something to free her. She spots a crystal lodged in a rock which she easily removes as the other denizens of the forest watch in astonishment.

The Fairy Queen tells Odette that by freeing the magic crystal, she is destined to defeat the sorcerer Rothbart. Rothbart, her cousin, was angered when she was chosen to become the next ruler of the Forest. Rothbart left and returned years later with his daughter Odile; and has since taken over most of the forest, turning the fairies and elves into animals. Odette, afraid to get involved, declines to help but is confronted by Rothbart, who gives her the same curse as the others, turning her into a swan. The Queen gifts Odette with a tiara embedded with the crystal that protects her from Rothbart's magic. As her powers are too weak, the Queen only partially reverses the spell, allowing Odette to regain human form by night but turn back into a swan by day.

Odette and Lila go meet Erasmus, a troll who takes care of a massive library, in order to find the Book of Forest Lore, which can tell them how to break the spell; however, they are unsuccessful. Daniel, who is out hunting, is lured into the forest by Rothbart, determined to get him to hunt and kill Odette. However, just as he's about to shoot her down, Daniel is captivated by the swan's beauty and decides to let her live. Odette then transforms in front of him and protects him from Rothbart. The two of them spend the night together and fall in love. Daniel invites Odette to the ball the next night.

Erasmus finds the book and reveals that the key to defeating Rothbart is true love. However, if Daniel falls for another girl, the magic crystal will lose its power and Odette will die. Rothbart abducts Erasmus and the book. While Odette rescues Erasmus, Rothbart attends the ball with Odile, magically disguised as Odette. Odette flies to the castle in her swan form to warn Daniel, but is too late; Daniel pledges his love to Odile, causing Odette to collapse.

With the crystal's power gone, Rothbart takes it from Odette. In the Forest, he turns the Fairy Queen into a mouse. Odette wakes up as Daniel arrives to confront Rothbart. Rothbart's spell hits them both, their hands intertwined. At that moment, Rothbart is consumed by the crystal's magic, as Daniel and Odette had tried to protect each other out of true love. Rothbart's evil is undone. Everyone from the village and the Forest celebrate as Odette and Daniel are to be married. Rothbart becomes a cuckoo clock while Odile ends up as a maid in Erasmus's library.

The story of courage gives Kelly new resolve and she promises she will participate in a race the following day.

Plot[]

On her birthday, Princess Annika (played by Barbie) worries her parents by going outside to ice skate without permission and bringing home a "possibly dangerous" polar bear cub named Shiver. As a result, the overprotective King Marcus and Queen Elvina forbid her from going skating ever again.

Annoyed, Annika sneaks out to join a skating festival in the village that night. A powerful sorcerer named Wenlock appears and orders the princess to marry him. Marcus and Elvina arrive and confront Wenlock, but he laughs and cryptically reminds Marcus and Elvina of the fate of their "other daughter". When Annika refuses his proposal, Wenlock petrifies the entire village population, including Annika's parents. Annika is rescued by a winged horse named Brietta, but Wenlock warns her she has three days to marry him; otherwise, the spell will become permanent.

Brietta takes Annika to the Cloud Kingdom, ruled by Queen Rayla (played by Christie). Annika discovers that her parents' "other daughter" is, in fact, Brietta (played by Summer), who was transformed into a pegasus by Wenlock when she refused to marry him. This explains why their parents were so protective of Annika once she was born. The Cloud Queen tells Annika that the only thing that can defeat Wenlock is a "Wand of Light"; built from a measure of courage, a ring of love, and a gem of ice lit by hope's eternal flame. Despite Brietta's reluctance due to past failed attempts, Annika assures her that they can build the wand together.

Annika, Brietta, and Shiver travel to the Forbidden Forest, where they meet Aidan (played by Ken), a blacksmith. When Shiver and Annika fall into a giant's stew pot, Annika uses her hair ribbon to help them escape. The ribbon, Annika's exact height, is the "measure of courage", and turns into a staff for the Wand of Light. After getting a map from the gem dealer Ferris, the group finds a large cavern filled with ice gems, where Annika and Aidan take one each. Aidan reveals that he ran away from his parents after he lost all of their money gambling. He took an extra gem to bring to his parents, so they would forgive him. Brietta offers her tiara for the ring of love. With all three objects, Aidan smiths the "Wand of Light", and Annika uses it to transform Brietta back into a human.

On their way back to the Cloud Kingdom, Annika and Brietta are pursued by Wenlock, and Brietta is knocked unconscious in the chase. Enraged, Annika orders the wand to destroy Wenlock, but it doesn't work. With no other options, she gives in and finally agrees to marry him. Wenlock refuses, calling her annoying, just like his former wives, all now cursed to become trolls. He takes the wand and buries Annika in an avalanche.

Aidan helps dig Annika out. After she recuperates, the group sneaks into Wenlock's palace. Annika finds the wand, but it has been damaged and the gem breaks off and falls into the sea. Aidan offers his gem as a replacement; realizing that the wand cannot be used for vengeance, Annika breaks all of Wenlock's spells for the love of her family and her people. Wenlock is stripped of his powers, his ex-wives are restored to their true forms, and the spell on Annika's kingdom is broken. Annika and Brietta are reunited with their parents, while Aidan reconciles with his father. In the Cloud Kingdom, Annika and Aidan skate together, while the Cloud Queen Rayla lifts the wand into the sky to become a star.

Martishius and William Lau and written by Elise Allen and Diane Duane that premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States on 6 March and was released on VHS and DVD two days later. It was distributed internationally through Universal Pictures Video and Entertainment Rights.

The film is followed by two sequels; Barbie: Mermaidia and Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow and two spin-offs; Barbie: Mariposa and Barbie: Mariposa & the Fairy Princess.

Plot[]

Barbie plays the role of Elina, a flower fairy who lives in Fairytopia with her puffball, Bibble. Unlike all other fairies, Elina does not have wings, for which she gets frequently ridiculed. Elina and her friend, Dandelion, learn that one of Fairytopia's guardians, Topaz, has supposedly been kidnapped. Elina returns to her flower home, Peony, in disbelief.

In truth, Topaz has been kidnapped by Laverna, the evil twin sister of Fairytopia's benevolent ruler, the Enchantress. Laverna reveals that she incapacitated her sister with poison and plans to capture all seven of Fairytopia's guardians. Meanwhile, Laverna's minions spread her mist-like formula on Fairytopia, weakening all winged creatures. With no other options, the residents of Fairytopia turn to Laverna for a cure and crown her queen.

In the morning, Elina and Bibble awaken to see Peony and the other fairies in the meadow sick from Laverna's formula. Elina, Dandelion and Bibble seek help from the closest guardian, Azura. On entering a forest, Dandelion inhales some of Laverna's formula, and is forced to return home when she is unable to fly.

After being turned away when they ask to see Azura, Elina and Bibble sneak to Azura's house, where she is discovered by Azura. Seeing a rainbow in Elina's eye, Azura invites them inside. She explains that the rainbow in Elina's eyes means that she is destined for great things. Elina, who does not believe in herself, disagrees. Azura tells her that all of Fairytopia is in trouble because of Laverna, and in the morning, she will leave to speak to a dryad named Dahlia, a former follower of Laverna; she asks Elina to take care of her magic necklace.

In the morning, as Azura is about to leave, she is kidnapped by a Fungus, one of Laverna's henchmen. Elina awakens and is accused of being responsible for Azura's disappearance, but gets rescued by Hue, a giant butterfly. In Laverna's lair, the Fungi arrive with Azura, but Laverna is angered when she finds her necklace missing. The Fungi tell Laverna that a wingless fairy had it. Realizing that a wingless fairy would be unaffected by her formula, Laverna orders the Fungi to find Elina.

Hue and Elina are pursued by Laverna's firebirds. They evade them when merman Prince Nalu gives them seaweed that allows them to breathe underwater. When the group finally reaches Dahlia's home, she is reluctant to help because the other guardians mistrust her. However, Elina convinces her to do the right thing. Dahlia tells Elina that Laverna has found a way to suck the powers from the fairy guardians' necklaces and transfer them to herself, stating that the "union point" would be its weakness.

The group arrives at Laverna's lair planning to find the union point, but Elina insists on going by herself, for she has Azura's necklace. While her friends cause a distraction, Elina makes it inside. Elina finds the guardians and her friends captured by the Fungi. Laverna agrees to let them go if Elina returns Azura's necklace, which she refuses, and Laverna notices the rainbow in her eye. Laverna promises that she can give Elina wings in exchange for returning Azura's necklace. Hypnotized, Elina walks toward Azura with the necklace. The union point — a crystal embedded in Laverna's throne — absorbs the power from the guardians' necklaces. As Elina is about to return the necklace, Azura's words reach her, and she snaps out of her trance. Rejecting Laverna's offer, Elina hurls the necklace at the union point, shattering it. The guardians' power overwhelms Laverna, and she vanishes.

Back in the Magic Meadow, the fairies and the flowers are cured. Elina and her friends are visited by the recovered Enchantress. She thanks Elina and her friends for saving everyone, and rewards her with her magic necklace. The necklace magically bestows Elina with her pair of wings. Overjoyed, Elina and her friends go flying together.

Genevieve (played by Barbie) is one of twelve princesses (played by Teresa, Lea, Drew, Raquelle, Midge, Skipper, Chelsie, Becky & Kelly) who share a passion for dancing and live in a castle with their widowed father, King Randolph. Unbeknownst to the princesses, other people consider them improper for having unique but unladylike hobbies and interests. King Randolph summons his cousin, Duchess Rowena, to help educate them into proper ladies. However, the Duchess wants the throne and removes all color, music, and joy from the palace, trying to break the girls' spirits.

On their youngest sisters' birthday, the other sisters gift a copy of their late mother's favorite story, wherein a princess discovers a magical land and dances there for three nights before it vanishes. Looking at the story and the tiles on their bedroom floor, Genevieve discovers how to open a portal into the magical land. Upon entering, they dance the night away. They learn the hanging golden flowers grant wishes, the statues can come to life, and the water has healing properties.

The next day, the princesses appear tired and Rowena finds their new dancing shoes worn out, arousing her suspicions. King Randolph falls ill, so Genevieve asks the royal cobbler, Derek, to investigate Rowena's true intentions. That night, the princesses return to the magical land; Derek confronts a local apothecary and deduces that Rowena has been poisoning the King.

The next morning, the sisters are again exhausted. Rowena, refusing to believe the sisters when they tell her the truth, forces them into servitude. After overhearing Rowena maneuver the King into referring to his daughters as burdens, the heartbroken princesses return to the magical land for a third time, and Rowena finds them missing the next morning.

After learning that the princesses are missing, Derek figures out how to open the portal and makes his way into the magical land. Rowena's pet monkey, Brutus, spies on Derek and leads Rowena through after him; she steals one of the wish-granting flowers. The princesses decide to go home and help their father; however, Rowena returns to the palace ahead of them and has her henchman, Desmond, destroy the portal. Derek and Genevieve figure out how to activate another portal by dancing together, freeing the group.

Once home, they find out that the King is dying and that Rowena has taken over as Queen. The Duchess uses the golden flower to wish for Genevieve to dance forever without rest, but Genevieve blows the magic dust back at her with a hand fan, forcing Rowena to dance uncontrollably. When Desmond tries to help Rowena, he is pulled into the spell, and the two dance their way out of the castle. Lacey uses the healing water she took from the magic land to revive her father. King Randolph affirms his unconditional love for his daughters and Genevieve and Derek celebrate their wedding.

Barbie: Thumbelina also known as Barbie Presents: Thumbelina is a 2009 animated fantasy film directed by Conrad Helten. It was released on March 17, 2009, and it made its television premiere on Nick Jr. UK on December 24, 2012. The fifteenth film in the Barbie film series, it is a modern retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale Thumbelina.

Plot[]

The story opens with Barbie and kindergarten students walking in a big meadow, ready to plant trees. Emma, one of the children, finds a small tree and decides to plant it, but her friends laugh at her because of it, making her sad. However, Barbie cheers her up by telling her that a small tree can grow into a very big tree, then tells her the story of Thumbelina.

Thumbelina is one of the Twillerbees, wingless fairies who spawn from flowers and whose magic affects plant growth. Learning that some Twillerbuds are growing and will soon open to reveal new Twillerbabies, Thumbelina constructs false wing gliders for herself and her friends Janessa and Chrysella, so they can monitor the Twillerbud flowers until the babies are "born".

Tractors arrive in the field and remove part of the flowerbed, with the three friends hiding inside. The plants, now potted, are placed in an apartment belonging to the parents of a spoiled, wealthy girl named Makena; she keeps the flowers in her bedroom. As Thumbelina, Chrysella, and Janessa search for a way to go back to their field, Makena's dog Poofles runs after them. Makena comes into the bedroom while the trio hides. Makena talks to her friend Violet on a cell phone about her parents, who intend to build a factory on the Twillerbees' field. An upset Thumbelina reveals herself and scolds Makena; Makena, surprised, sees the ownership of a Twillerbee as a way to one-up Violet, whom she always competes with.

The three Twillerbees try, unsuccessfully, to escape from Makena and Poofles. Finally, Thumbelina is able to send Chrysella and Janessa home, to disturb the work in the field while Thumbelina talks to Makena. Thumbelina makes Makena promise to persuade her parents to stop building the factory, and not to tell anyone about her. In return, Thumbelina agrees to create special plants for Makena.

Makena, determined to show off in front of her friends, agrees to the deal but only perfunctorily talks to her parents about the factory project. She also breaks her promise and brings Violet and another girl named Ashlynn to show off Thumbelina and her powers. Thumbelina angrily leaves, and Makena realizes that the other two badly-behaved girls are not her true friends. Missing Thumbelina's companionship, Makena goes to the field and begs forgiveness. Thumbelina reveals the rest of the Twillerbees, and the Twillerbuds, to Makena, who becomes determined to save them.

That night, Makena, Thumbelina, Janessa, Chrysella, Poofles, and Lola the bird all work hard in a greenhouse to grow the plants. The next day, Makena shows her parents the result and asks them to stop the building. Thumbelina appears, and explains to the adults about the Twillerbuds that will bloom soon. Evan and Vanessa, Makena's parents, are convinced, and agree to stop Myron, the contractor, from destroying the field.

Thanks to some birds and the other Twillerbees, Myron's workers are tricked into believing the field is haunted, and flee. However, Myron is angry and determined to finish his work, as he is allergic to flowers and wants them gone. Ultimately, Makena and Thumbelina arrive and halt Myron long enough for Evan and Vanessa to arrive at the field and have the factory project shut down. A team of birds chases Myron away, and Makena and her family watch the Twillerbuds bloom. To prevent others from destroying the field, they turn the field into a Reserved Park.

As Barbie finishes the story, an adult Makena arrives and reveals they are in the Reserved Park, which now belongs to her. Barbie says that even the smallest person can make a big difference; Makena is small, compared to the other adults, just like the children.

While filming an adaptation of The Princess and the Pea, Barbie questions the director's bizarre creative choices which results in her being fired. Immediately afterwards, Barbie is lambasted on social media and receives a phone call from Ken who breaks up with her. Heartbroken and to get away from her troubles, Barbie goes on vacation to Paris to visit her aunt Millicent, an esteemed fashion designer. Meanwhile, Barbie's friends, Teresa and Grace, go to confront Ken where it's revealed that the breakup was really a recording by Barbie's rival Raquelle, which she made while he was reading a script. Ken decides to rush to Paris to amend the situation with Barbie.

In Paris, Barbie learns from rival fashion designer, Jacqueline, that Millicent is going out of business. Barbie meets Millicent and her assistant Alice and is informed that her aunt has lost work due to negative reviews and has since sold the building to a restaurant franchise known as "Hotdogeteria".

Alice takes Barbie to the attic and tells her about the magical creatures who supposedly lived in the fashion house. Placing one of Alice's original designs in a magic wardrobe, Barbie and Alice find and recite the chant to summon the magical creatures, who introduce themselves as the "Flairies", Shyn, Shim'r, and Glim'r. Impressed by Alice's design, the Flairies use their magic to enhance it with sparkles. As the fashion house is the source of the Flairies' power, Barbie and Alice decide to put on a fashion show featuring new designs by Alice to raise money and save the building.

Jacqueline soon finds out about the Flairies and kidnaps them and demands they add sparkle to her own designs. Finding the outfits uninspiring, the Flairies warn Jacqueline that their magic might be unstable. Jacqueline ignores them and plans to put on her own fashion show the same night as Millicent's.

Despite the Flairies' disappearance, Millicent is inspired by Alice's designs and helps work on the line for the fashion show. Later that night, Barbie's poodle, Sequin, and Millicent's dog and cat, Jacques and Jilliana, are alerted to the Flairies' location by a trail of sparkles. The three pets sneak into Jacqueline's and rescue them. The next day, Barbie, Alice, and Millicent awaken to find sparkle added to all their new outfits, and an elaborate setup for the fashion show.

That night, Jacqueline presents her fashion show, however, the Flairies' magic backfires and the outfits start to rot on the runway. Repulsed, the audience leaves and flocks to Millicent's across the street. Barbie models the new designs in a spectacular fashion show. In a finale, Glimmer uses her magic to transform Barbie's gown, revealing her own talent as a designer. Soon after, Ken arrives, having faced numerous detours on his journey, and reaffirms his love for Barbie and kisses her, with the Flairies transforming his clothes into a new suit. An audience member places a large order for pieces from the line, and the payment is enough for Millicent to buy back the building from the Hotdogeteria owner.

A remorseful Jacqueline, who watched the fashion show, apologizes for her actions, which Millicent accepts and even agrees to work with her sometime. Liliana Roxelle, Paris's top fashion critic, congratulates them on an impressive show and invites them to a party. As they leave, Barbie is approached by a studio representative who invites her to work on a new film as a director.

Barbie: A Fairy Secret is a 2011 animated fantasy film directed by William Lau and written by Elise Allen. Produced by Rainmaker Entertainment, it is the second film produced by Mattel Entertainment under the sales mark name of Barbie Entertainment.

Plot[]

Barbie is at the premiere of her latest movie along with her actor boyfriend Ken, when her rival and co-star, Raquelle, steps on her dress, ripping it. Her stylists, Carrie and Taylor, who are secretly fairies, use magic to mend it. Crystal, a photographer, greets Carrie and Taylor and, taking one last picture of Ken, leaves to go back to Gloss Angeles. Crystal shows Princess Graciella the pictures she took at the premiere. She gives the Princess some tea in which she secretly mixed with a love potion. Crystal then shows the Princess the picture of Ken she took, and Graciella falls in love with him almost instantly.

The next day at Wally's restaurant, Barbie confronts Raquelle about the dress-stepping incident. During the facade, Princess Graciella, Crystal, and two assistant fairies unexpectedly show up and kidnap Ken. Carrie and Taylor sprout their wings and attempt to stop the Princess from taking Ken, but the portal to Gloss Angeles closes before they can enter it. The stylists attempt to dissuade Raquelle and Barbie of the fact that they just saw fairies but finally admit their existence. They explain that Ken is in trouble because if a human marries a fairy, the human has to stay in Gloss Angeles forever. Meanwhile, in Gloss Angeles, Ken and the Princess arrive in the royal palace, where they meet Zane, Graciella's boyfriend. Zane is outraged at Graciella's new love interest and challenges Ken to three consecutive duels.

Barbie, Raquelle, and the fairies go to a clothing store, where they enter a Fairy Flyway (a fairy method of transport), which leads them to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The fairies reveal that Lilianna Roxelle, a world-famous fashion critic, is the oldest and wisest fairy living on Earth. After they arrive at Lilianna's home, she informs them that Princess Graciella is under a love potion spell. She gives Barbie an antidote that will turn the Princess back to normal if it rains down on her. It is also revealed that Taylor and Carrie were banished from Gloss Angeles earlier due to some personal reasons. The girls then take Liliana's portal to continue their journey.

Barbie, Raquelle, Taylor, and Carrie make it to Gloss Angeles and they make a stop at Wings and Things in order to get wings for Barbie and Raquelle where they run into the human owner named Reena and her fairy husband Graylon. They then disguise themselves as cooks to try to reveal Princess Graciella about Crystal's love potion; however, Crystal reveals Taylor and Carrie by recognizing Taylor's shoes, and the princess locks the four in furyspheres. Barbie and Raquelle talk and finally figure out their misunderstanding. The reason Raquelle has always been so mean to Barbie is that she never got the chance to be Barbie's friend. They apologize to each other and become friends. Their reconciliation breaks the furyspheres and their wings become real, and they now realize that forgiveness lets them fly. The two then go to stop the wedding between Graciella and Ken, holding off the attendants and the princess. Finally, Barbie pours the antidote over Graciella, curing her of the love potion. Graciella realizes that it was Crystal who gave her the love potion and apologizes for the misunderstanding. She also explains that the reason she banished Taylor and Carrie is that the three of them were once friends but Taylor and Carrie started spending so much time together that she felt left out and betrayed. At the urging of Barbie and Raquelle, she lifts Taylor and Carrie's ban, and the three fairies forgive each other. Graciella then punishes Crystal by having her clean up after the ceremony and goes to marry Zane.

After the wedding, Graciella tells Barbie and Raquelle that their wings will disappear when they and Ken go back to the human world and then reappear when they return to Gloss Angeles. She also tells them that their memories of their adventures here will be erased since Raquelle cannot keep a secret. Graciella sends them back to Earth with magical dust. The next morning, Barbie wakes up with no recollection of Gloss Angeles or the fairies, thinking it was a dream. However, she and Raquelle are now friends. Back at Wally's, Carrie and Taylor tell the two and Ken that they reconnected with an old friend (Princess Graciella) and are going back to their hometown (Gloss Angeles). In the last scene, Carrie and Taylor turn into fairies and fly back through the portal.

Barbie in a Mermaid Tale is a 2010 animated film directed by Adam L. Wood and produced by Mattel Entertainment with Rainmaker Entertainment. It was released to DVD on March 9, 2010. It's the seventeenth entry in the Barbie film series. It was followed by a 2012 sequel, Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2.

Plot[]

Merliah Summers (played by Barbie) is a young, up-and-coming surfing star in Malibu. While participating in a competition, Merliah loses concentration when her hair spontaneously gains pink streaks, causing her to wipe out. While underwater, she discovers that she is able to breathe, and is approached by a talking, pink bottlenose dolphin named Zuma. Shocked by this turn of events, Merliah tells her grandfather Break what happened. Break explains that Merliah's mother is a mermaid and that Merliah was given to Break as a baby to raise because she was born with legs. Merliah leaves in disbelief.

After telling her friends Fallon and Hadley the story, Zuma appears to the girls, confirming that Merliah is half-mermaid. Zuma explains to Merliah that her mother is Calissa, the previous queen of the underwater kingdom of Oceana. Oceana's current queen, Eris, Calissa's sister, is a tyrant who took the throne when Calissa went missing years earlier; Zuma hopes that Merliah will claim her birthright and usurp Eris. Merliah refuses, and in her anger throws the necklace she'd been wearing since she was an infant. The smashed pendant reveals a magical image of Calissa, confirming that she is alive. Merliah agrees to go to Oceana in the hopes that Calissa can make her normal again.

On the way to Oceana, Zuma explains that the ocean is weakening due to Eris being unskilled at spinning Merillia—a magical substance that sustains the ocean. Merliah and Zuma sneak into Oceana during an Eris festival, wherein Eris distributes Merillia in exchange for the citizens' adoration. In reality, the Merillia is spun by Calissa, who is imprisoned in the palace dungeon.

With the help of mermaids Kayla and Xylie, Merliah's legs are disguised with a fake tail. The group visit the Destinies, three mermaids with prophetic powers. The Destinies tell Merliah that she needs to collect three items to succeed in overthrowing Eris: the Celestial Comb, a Dreamfish, and Eris' protective necklace. The group search for the items, occasionally calling Fallon and Hadley for help with research. They find the Celestial Comb in an underwater cave and the Dreamfish in the Adenato currents.

To obtain Eris' necklace, Merliah, Kayla, and Xylie approach her during the next Eris festival and perform a song and dance to distract her. Merliah grabs Eris' necklace, but soon has her tail pulled off, revealing her legs. In a rage, Eris creates a whirlpool to banish Merliah to the deepest trench in the ocean. Trapped inside the whirlpool, Merliah calls the Dreamfish for help. The Dreamfish offers to grant Merliah's deepest wish and send her back to Malibu and erase her mermaid half for good. Merliah rejects the wish and accepts her responsibility as the princess of Oceana, gaining a real mermaid tail which she uses to escape the whirlpool herself. Merliah reveals her identity to the people of Oceana, brandishing the Celestial Comb as proof. Eris rushes Merliah; and after a chase, Merliah lures and traps Eris in the whirlpool.

Merliah finds and sets Calissa free. Calissa is made queen once again, and, now able to spin Merillia at full strength, restores Oceana to its former glory. Merliah confesses that she misses her life as a human, and Calissa gives her a magical necklace that enables her to be a human or mermaid whenever she wishes. Merliah then returns to land, where she is reunited with her grandfather and wins the surfing competition.

Plot[]

A year after the events of the previous film, Merliah Summers is competing in the heats of an invitational surf-meet. Merliah wins first place, narrowly beating rival surfer, Kylie Morgan, though both get to compete in the finals in Australia.

Merliah uses her magical necklace to transform into a mermaid and tell her mother Queen Calissa the good news. Calissa is preparing for the Changing of Tides Ceremony to be held at the ancient city of Aquellia deep in the waters of New Zealand, which is performed every twenty years to make the next princess of Oceana an official member of the royal family and imbuing them with the power to spin Merillia. Calissa expects Merliah to attend, but the surfing competition is on exactly the same day, causing them to argue, after which they part ways.

In Australia, during the next round of the meet, Kylie beats Merliah when she deliberately brushes Merliah's surfboard and causes her to wipe out. Despite Kylie's win, Merliah's handstand maneuver attracts the attention of the crowd. That night, at a luau, Kylie is approached by a rainbowfish named Alistair who tells her that Merliah has powers that give her an advantage with surfing. Following Alistair's advice, Kylie steals the necklace, which Merliah has taken off for a photoshoot, puts it on and turns into a mermaid. Alistair then lures Kylie underwater to the deep trench where Eris is still trapped in a whirlpool. Snouts the sea lion, who witnessed Kylie's transformation, secretly follows them. Alistair and Eris trick Kylie into entering the whirlpool, taking Eris' place and freeing her.

Snouts returns to the surface to fetch Merliah. Merliah follows Snouts to the trench and frees Kylie from the whirlpool, causing it to destabilize and self-destruct. Kylie thanks Merliah and apologizes for stealing her necklace; but keeps it for the time being so that she can breathe underwater in mermaid form. Kylie then promises Merliah to help her stop Eris.

Eris and Alistair travel to Aquellia so that Eris can perform the Changing of Tides ceremony herself. Along the way, they meet a group of large, powerful fish called Stargazers. Eris threatens them with her new spell which bring people's worst fears to life, and they agree to obey her. While Calissa and the ambassadors of the ocean—Mirabella, Kattrin, Selena, and Renata—are waiting for the midday sun for the ceremony to begin, they are attacked by Eris. Eris manages to cast her spell on Calissa, whose tail becomes heavy and drags her down, trapping her at the bottom of the ocean. Eris casts the spell on all the ambassadors and cages them.

Merliah, Kylie, and Snouts meet up with Zuma and Calissa; Calissa and Merliah reconcile. As Calissa is unable to move because of the spell, Merliah decides to perform the ceremony in her place, even though doing so will make her a mermaid permanently. Merliah, Kylie, Zuma, and Snouts go to Aquellia, where they manage to get past the Stargazers and free the ambassadors. Merliah manages to get on the throne at the right time, but it doesn't work as she isn't in mermaid form. Kylie quickly passes the necklace to Merliah in time, and the ceremony is completed, undoing all of Eris's spells and giving Merliah a new tail. Eris tries to cast her spell on Merliah, but she reflects it back to Eris. Eris's worst fear manifests and her tail is transformed into legs. The ambassadors then arrest Eris and take her away.

Merliah, Calissa, and Kylie swim to the surface in time for the surf meet finals. Calissa allows Kylie to keep the necklace since she has proven herself by helping them. Although Merliah has accepted her duty, she wishes that she could be human again and her legs magically return by themselves. Calissa explains that the ceremony turns whoever performs it into their true self, and Merliah's true self is both mermaid and human.

During the competition, Merliah is distracted by her newfound ability to create Merillia when she touches the water. Kylie wins and brings Merliah on stage to share the trophy in front of the cheering crowd.

It is the twenty-third installment in the Barbie film series and the second to be based on Mark Twain's 1881 novel The Prince and the Pauper (after Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper).

Plot[]

The kingdom of Meribella celebrates its 500th anniversary. Famous popstar Keira is giving a series of concerts to commemorate the event; behind the scenes, she is overwhelmed, between being unable to write new songs and dealing with her overeager manager, Seymour Crider. Meanwhile, the fun-loving Princess Tori is pressured by her domineering aunt, Duchess Amelia, and her royal responsibilities. Both girls wish they could trade lives with the other and take it easy.

At a royal reception, Keira and Tori meet each other and become fast friends. Using Keira's magic microphone that allows her to change outfits, and Tori's magic hairbrush that allows her to change hairstyles, the girls convincingly disguise themselves as each other. Tori shows Keira the royal family's secret magic gardenia plant which grows diamond-encrusted flowers. The girls take two small diamonds from the plant and attach them to their necklaces. Crider finds out about the diamond gardenia and plans to steal it.

Using the magic microphone and hairbrush, the girls plan to switch places for a day and educate one another on their respective lives and routines. While Keira struggles with Tori's royal duties, playing with Tori's little sisters inspires her to write music again. Meanwhile, Tori is having fun rehearsing as Keira, but when freely exploring the kingdom, she discovers how badly the ongoing drought has affected the people. The girls decide to extend the switch for another day and make Keira's final concert a free one so more people can afford to attend.

The following night, when the girls are supposed to switch back, Keira is locked in the Princess's bedroom by the Duchess because of a commemorative speech Tori has been procrastinating. Though hesitant at first, Tori is forced to go onstage as Keira and manages to perform. Keira escapes Tori's bedroom through a secret passageway.

While the rest of the royal family is at the concert, Crider and his assistant Rupert sneak into the castle to steal the diamond gardenia. They uproot the gardenia, causing the rest of the kingdom's plants to wilt. Tori notices this and rushes back to the castle, where she and Keira change back and intercept Crider. Crider attempts to escape with the plant in a wingsuit, but the girls stop him by using the microphone and hairbrush to change his outfit; however, in the process, Crider drops the gardenia into the sea.

Using the diamonds from their necklaces, the girls plant them in the garden, where they instantly grow into a new diamond gardenia and magically revitalize the kingdom's plant life. The girls rush back to the concert where Keira and Tori perform a spectacular finale together; while sometime later, Tori is shown giving her speech, promising to use her voice to help the kingdom's less fortunate.

Plot[]

The film opens with Madame Natasha overseeing the dancers's warm-up session, and critiquing the children's number. Kristin and Hayley are backstage talking when Tara and Dillon perform their Pas de Deux. Kristin's solo begins and she dances flawlessly, but soon the music overtakes her and she begins to improvise new choreography. Madame Natasha chastises her, causing Kristin to fall and rip her shoes, and warns her not to deviate when the international ballet scouts come. Kristin and Hayley leave to get a new pair of shoes, while Tara's father tries to convince Madame to let his daughter have another solo - Kristyn's. But Madame tells him that his daughter already has enough solos and walks away.

Meanwhile, while looking for a new pair of shoes, Hayley can't seem to find any Kristin's size (which is five). But then, the costume mistress, Madame Katerina gives Kristin a pair of pink pointe shoes that overwhelm her. When she tries them on, she and Hayley are suddenly transported to a magical world, which turns out to be the ballet world of Giselle, where Kristin has transformed into Giselle. She starts to dance Giselle's solo and dances beautifully. However, when Prince Albrecht asks her to marry him and is interrupted by Hilarion, Kristin rejects them both. Hayley reminds her of the tragic ending of the ballet, and suggests that they leave.

As they are about to leave, they are nearly run over by an icy sleigh ridden by the Snow Queen, who rules the ballet world. She demands to know why the dancers have deviated from the story, and where 'Giselle' is. Hilarion tries to cover for her, but the Queen turns to Giselle's mother, Berthe. The Snow Queen knows when Berthe tries to lie to her and turns her into an ice-sculpture. Hilarion and Albrecht agree to work together to find Giselle. Meanwhile, Hayley has figured out that the shoes are behind everything and tries to convince Kristin to take them off. However, Kristin refuses and runs away. When Hayley catches up, she finds Kristin at a lake and that she has now transformed into Queen Odette.

Prince Siegfried happens upon them, and asks 'Odette' to dance, while Rothbart looks on. The Prince asks 'Odette' to come his party that night and she agrees. However, Rothbart wants his daughter, Odile to marry the Prince and turns Kristin and Hayley into swans to detain them. The Snow Queen arrives, approves of Rothbart's plan and then leaves to continue looking for the source of the ballet disruptions. After a narrow encounter with Hilarion and Albrecht, Hayley and Kristin are able to fly away and arrive at the party, knowing that only Siegfried can break Rothbart's spell. Kristin is able to interrupt the Prince's dance with Odile, who has been disguised to look like 'Odette', and breaks the spell. Unfortunately the Snow Queen has caught up with them and takes Hayley captive as she 'does not belong in the story.'

Distressed and worried for her friend, Kristin follows the ice trail left by the Snow Queen's sleigh but breaks down and starts crying as she thinks that it is hopeless to find Hayley. Hilarion and Albrecht catch up to her, and Kristin explains that her friend is missing. She asks them for help in taking on the Snow Queen, and they set off. When they get to the Ice Palace, both men try to convince her of marriage again, but Kristin says she would never be happy if she doesn't save Hayley. Hilarion and Albrecht decide to help her. Inside the palace, the Snow Queen is furious with Kristin and proves her point by making Hayley dance the Chinese Doll dance from Coppelia before turning her attention to Kristin and forcing her to dance as well.

Hilarion and Albrecht try to save Kristin but are unable to overcome the Snow Queen's powers. Luckily, Kristin's passion for making up her own choreography allows her to break the Snow Queen's control by herself. As she does so, she undergoes another transformation into a beautiful pink, rose-decorated costume. Hayley un-freezes and asks Kristin if she is finally ready to go home, to which Kristin says "yes" and takes off the pink shoes. As they return magically back in the costume shop, Madame Katerina comes in and reminds them that Kristin needs to be on stage in fifteen minutes. Tara gives her a pair of ballet shoes, and Hayley makes some last-minute adjustments to the costume while the talent scouts watch the other numbers.

Kristin comes on stage and begins her dance. As she modulates into her own choreography, her dress magically changes from blue and purple to glittery pink, and everyone agrees that her dance is amazing. The scouts want to feature Tara and Dillon in their company and ask Kristin to star in a new ballet with Hayley as her costume designer. As the dancers leave, Madame Katerina takes the pink shoes and carefully packs them away, smiling.

Barbie: The Pearl Princess is the 27th Barbie movie. It was released to DVD on March 11, 2014, and it made its TV premiere on Nickelodeon on April 6, 2014.

Plot[]

The film opens with Lumina using her pearl magic to prepare a fake coronation held for seahorse friend Kuda. Lumina crowns Kuda as "Princess Kuda, Ruler of the Seven Seas." Kuda then gives a pretend ball in honor of her coronation, in which she and Lumina dance.

Suddenly, Scylla comes and Lumina disbands the party and hides the pearls she used in the oysters she got them from. Unfortunately, one oyster snaps shut too quickly, leaving a pearl out. Lumina tries to put it back inside the oyster without Scylla noticing, but Scylla does notice. She scolds Lumina for using her pearl magic outside because "bad people" might look for her, but Lumina argues, asking who could find her, unaware that Scylla is afraid Caligo would find out about her.

In the cave, Lumina and Kuda continue their fake coronation by customizing their hairstyles to look like princesses. They wonder what would it be like if they were princesses and dream to see the castle. Scylla hears their conversation, and hides a bracelet with the royal crest on it in a drawer.

In the castle, Caligo pleads with King Nereus and Queen Lorelei to appear in public. Nereus starts to tell Caligo that he and his wife are still grieving over their lost daughter. Caligo says that they have to face the fact that without an heir, their kingdom will one day go to his son, Fergis. Lorelei concedes that Caligo is right, and they should name Fergis their heir. Caligo suggests they give a royal ball to find Fergis a wife, to which the king and queen agree.

Back at the cave, when Scylla is making a potion, an eel named Murray comes. He tells Scylla that Caligo wants her to poison the king at the royal ball. Scylla refuses, but Murray threatens to tell everyone she killed the princess. Scylla replies "if it's poison Caligo wants, it's poison he'll get." Murray takes this to mean she has agreed, and gives Scylla an invitation to the ball.

Lumina swims in and overhears Murray talk about the castle. Murray hears Lumina call Scylla "aunt," and when Murray starts to ask for more information, Scylla throws him out.

Lumina's excitement about the castle isn't over. She asks Scylla to take her with her to the castle. Scylla says no, telling Lumina about "burning fire coral and vampire squid and poisonous stonefish" as dangers on the way.

Disappointed, Kuda and Lumina start playing tail tag. Kuda accidentally knocks a potion bottle off a shelf during the game. When Lumina goes to pick it up, she sees the invitation to the royal ball. She tries to give it to her aunt, but Scylla has already gone. Lumina sees this as an opportunity to go to the castle, and although Kuda reminds her of the threats Scylla told them about, Lumina pushes her to join her.

Lumina has noticed that every time Scylla goes to the city, she always comes from a shortcut, which then appears as a dead end. Her intuition takes the lead, and not long after, she finds a passage through the skeleton of a big animal. While in the passage, Kuda accidentally breaks the structure, and it collapses. They manage to escape, but the invitation is lost to a narwhal.

Back at the castle, Caligo and Fergis are arguing. Fergis doesn't want to go to the ball since he wants to be a botanist rather than king, but Caligo tells him he is "going to be king and that's the end of it," after which Fergis leaves sadly for his waltz lessons.

Right after, Murray appears and informs Caligo that Scylla agreed to the plan. Caligo then reveals he plans to kill Scylla after the king dies of poisoning so he would be hailed as a national hero. However, Caligo has one concern: his son, who is not very eligible, will need to find a wife. Murray brings up Scylla's niece as an option, which raises Caligo's suspicions. Murray mentions the niece as "blonde, about seventeen years old" and that it is an "interesting coincidence." Caligo asks Murray to bring the girl to him.

On the other side of the ocean, Lumina and Kuda are lost in the middle of a kelp forest. Then they see the narwhal which took their invitation, only to lose it again. In desperation, Lumina sees the light in the distance and rushes to it, believing it is the city, but it is actually a vampire squid lair. The narwhal goes in, and most of the squid leave and chase it, after which Lumina and Kuda enter.

Once inside, they find a cute baby squid and admire it until the squid bites Kuda on the snout. Lumina manages to pull it off, but she falls onto a rock. When Kuda swims by the rock, it opens an eye. Kuda thus warns Lumina to move away from it, but Lumina doesn't know why and accidentally slaps it with her tail, causing the "rock" to open its eyes and roar. It is revealed to be a stonefish.

The stonefish tries to scare Lumina and Kuda away by roaring and mentioning how poisonous his spikes are. Lumina uses her pearl powers to put pearls on his spikes and tells him that now no one will be scared of him. After more coaxing, the stonefish agrees to accompany them to the city and practice making friends with other fish. He introduces himself as Spike.

Back at Lumina's home, Murray appears with his sidekicks, Garth and Wormwood. Upon reading a letter Lumina left for Scylla, Murray realizes she isn't home, but roots through Scylla's things anyway. He finds the bracelet Scylla hid earlier.

Back in the kelp forest, Lumina and Kuda are laughing at one of Spike's jokes when Kuda is caught by snarly kelp. Lumina removes a pearl from one of Spike's spikes, and he cuts the kelp with it, setting Kuda free. Kuda moans that she doesn't think they will make it to the city, but Lumina shows her they are already there.

In the city, Spike starts hiding, but Lumina tells him he shouldn't. Spike, afraid of being feared, comes out anyway, and a few merpeople compliment his pearls.

Then, Kuda sees Scylla in the distance. Lumina wants to explain that they were trying to bring her her invitation, but Kuda is worried and pulls Lumina into Salon La Mer to hide. There, Lumina is mistaken for a job applicant by Madame Ruckus. She is confused about what is happening around her, and when Kuda notices Scylla is passing by, she suggests disguising their hair. Lumina disguises herself by changing her hairstyle with her pearl magic. Madame Ruckus sees her talent and hires her, introducing her to the other two employees, Sandrine and Cora.

Lumina's first customer asks for a certain hairstyle, but Lumina thinks of a style that would look better on her. She uses her pearl magic to style the customer's hair. The customer loves the style and hugs Lumina. The next customer asks for the same style that the first one got, but when Lumina suggests something different just for her, she happily accepts.

Back at the castle, Caligo reminds the Trident Squad about the plan for the ball. After they leave, Scylla arrives. Caligo tells Scylla the plan and mentions that he knows she has a niece. Scylla angrily replies that she also has a goldfish, saying "What of it?" Caligo tells her to give them both his regards.

Meanwhile, Lumina's second customer loves her new hairstyle. Sandrine, inspired by Lumina, decides to try something different as well, and Cora paints her customer's nails with baby dolphins for the first time.

Murray returns from his trip and tells Caligo that nobody was home, but he shows Caligo the bracelet he found. Since the bracelet has the royal crest, Caligo knows that Scylla's "niece" is actually the lost princess. He angrily tells Murray that they must get rid of her. He orders Murray to gather his cronies and find her.

Prince Delphin, who has just arrived in the city, has trouble finding directions on his map. He tries to ask Madame Ruckus for help, but she sees that he has caught one of her deliveries. She mistakenly thinks he wants to help her with them and gives him more to deliver. He takes them to Salon La Mer, where he meets Lumina. Their conversation is cut short when Dolphin hurries Delphin along. Caligo enters the salon with Fergis, where he asks Lumina to do Fergis's hair. Fergis notices Cora and falls in love with her. After Lumina finishes Fergis's hairstyle, she introduces him to Cora and they get along quite well.

Madame Ruckus informs her employees that she got invitations to the royal ball for the whole staff. The salon staff all go shopping. Soon, everything is sold out, and Cora has nothing to wear. Lumina gives Cora her outfit and buys some fabric to make a new outfit for herself.

At the ball, Fergis starts talking to Cora, but Caligo pulls him away, asking him why he isn't dancing. When Fergis says no one will dance with him, Caligo notices a bad smell. Fergis says it's coming from the Sulfur Lily he's wearing, and Caligo pulls it off. Fergis then starts dancing with Cora, who says she thought his flower was beautiful.

Lumina bumps into Caligo, who welcomes her, thanking her for styling Fergis's hair. Delphin comes by and asks her to dance. Lumina overhears Caligo call Delphin "prince," and they chat while dancing. Meanwhile, Murray comes by and tells Caligo that every crawly creature is looking for a girl named Lumina, and Caligo asks Murray if the girl dancing with Delphin is the princess. Murray says she is.

After Lumina promises Delphin the next dance, Caligo suddenly joins in. When she tells him her aunt raised her, he takes her outside the castle, where Murray captures her in a sack. Kuda comes out and is able to evade Caligo, but she is kicked into another sack by Murray. Right after this, Caligo and Spike run into each other in the ballroom. After each unsuccessfully attempts to get out of the other's way, Caligo shoves past Spike, and Caligo's tail knocks a pearl off of one of Spike's spikes. When Caligo hears Spike grumble and say the word "poisoned," he asks Spike what he knows about the poison. Spike says Caligo was almost caught by a poisonous spike.

The eels take Lumina and Kuda to the dungeon. Lumina uses her pearl powers to get the keys. She then throws pearls at each eel, tricking them into fighting. She ties the eels up and frees herself and Kuda.

Meanwhile, Scylla serves the royal party their nectar. Caligo becomes suspicious of his and starts to sniff it, believing his nectar has the poison rather than the king's. He switches his nectar with Nereus's, but Scylla does not react. Thinking he may have been wrong, Caligo switches them back. Scylla still does not react, and Caligo tries to figure out if his chalice or Nereus's is poisoned.

Knowing Scylla is in trouble, Lumina rushes to the ballroom with Kuda, but they're seen by Trident Squad guards, who chase after them. Scylla, meanwhile, overhears Nereus and Lorelei grieving over their lost daughter. After she hears the steward say something belongs to the king and queen and she shouldn't hold onto things forever, Scylla is surprised. The steward was talking about the nectar, but Scylla realizes it's also true about Lumina.

Scylla tries to grab Caligo's nectar. She says she is done poisoning people, but Caligo realizes that he was right all along about his poisoned drink. Scylla is unable to wrench the cup from Caligo's grip. Caligo suddenly realizes that Scylla might still be tricking him and is again unsure about whose cup is poisoned.

The king and queen arrive, and Nereus speaks about presenting the Pearl of the Sea to Fergis. He does so and prepares a toast. Just as he is about to drink, Caligo knocks Nereus's cup over and offers his own. Scylla tries to stop Nereus from drinking but is blocked by a soldier. Luckily, Lumina arrives just in time and knocks the drink out of Nereus's hand.

Despite his plan having been ruined, Caligo refuses to give up. He claims Lumina tried to attack Nereus and tells the guards to arrest her. Scylla tells everyone that Lumina saved the king and that she, Scylla, put poison in the cup. But before she can say Caligo forced her to do so, Caligo pushes her onto Spike's bare spike. Being infected with stonefish venom, Scylla falls to the ground.

Lumina cradles Scylla in her arms, begging that she be okay. Scylla uses this moment to tell Lumina the truth: she took Lumina from her parents long ago to save her. After this, Scylla falls unconscious. Lumina asks Spike if there's an antidote to his venom. He sorrowfully replies that he only knows of the sulfur lily, but it's so rare that he's never seen one. Cora asks Fergis if he knows the plant, but a glare from Caligo prompts Fergis to say no. With Cora's little smile and gesture, Fergis defied his father and gave Lumina the fallen sulfur lily Caligo pulled off his outfit earlier.

With the plan about to be totally ruined, Caligo picks up the unconscious Scylla and orders the guards to grab Lumina. Madame Ruckus and Delphin stop the guards whiles Lumina pursued him and used her pearls to lock the gate before Caligo can reach it. She then used all the pearls in the ballroom to trap Caligo and ensnare Scylla away from him. Lumina puts the sulfur lily petals in Scylla's mouth, and she wakes up, cured.

Scylla finally reveals that Caligo is the one who ordered her to poison Nereus. Caligo tries to claim innocence, but Fergis backs Scylla up, shoving his mouth in the process with a plant he ruined from the earlier father-son argument.

Lorelei asks Lumina if she has always been able to use the pearl magic. Lumina says she has, and Lorelei reveals that she has the same powers. Nereus reveals that the magic is a royal gift. Scylla reveals that Lumina is the lost princess and tells the remaining part of the story: Years ago, Caligo paid Scylla to kill the baby princess, but she couldn't do it, so instead, she kept the baby with her and told Caligo she was dead. As the child grew, she could have given her back to her rightful parents, but she had become too attached.

Fergis gives the Pearl of the Sea back to Nereus, who then wears it on Lumina. The medallion glows and transforms Lumina's tail, revealing her as the true heir. Lumina, Kuda and Scylla accept the castle as their new home. The royal ball continues, and Madame Ruckus throws Caligo out of the castle gates.

Plot[]

Set in a modern-day kingdom, Alexa is a shy, book-reading princess who avoids doing the duties expected of her due to her rank. In order to encourage her, Alexa's grandmother gives her a storybook about a princess who discovers she has magic. While reading the book, Alexa discovers a mysterious door in the royal gardens. She enters the door and finds herself in a fantasy land.

Alexa meets Nori, a fairy missing her wings, and Romy, a mermaid with legs instead of her tail. Nori and Romy are thrilled because as a princess, Alexa can perform magic with a wand. Their realm is under threat by the mean, mischievous Princess Malucia, a spoiled child princess who was born without magic and has been taking it by force from all the creatures she can capture. Alexa is brought to the glade where fairies, mermaids and unicorns are hiding from Malucia. There, Alexa slowly learns to use her wand. However, she cannot return Nori and Romy to their original forms, because their magic is trapped in Malucia's scepter.

The group learn that Malucia is trying to find the Queen Unicorn, who is the most magical creature in the realm. Alexa, Nori, and Romy travel to the Queen Unicorn, hoping to protect her, only to unintentionally lead Malucia and her minions right to her. Malucia captures the Queen Unicorn, while Nori and Romy provide a distraction so that Alexa can escape. While fleeing, Alexa discovers the doorway back to her world but decides to stay and help.

Alexa, Nori, and Romy go to Malucia's palace, where they witness Malucia draining all the unicorns' magic into her scepter. Alexa confronts Malucia, declaring that she is a princess, too, which provokes Malucia into a magical battle to "prove" who is the better princess. During the fight, Alexa realizes that Malucia's scepter is cracking under its magical content. Alexa willingly lets Malucia steal all her magic, which causes Malucia's scepter to explode, releasing all its magic. Malucia is harmless once again, and Alexa, who can now perform magic without a wand, returns all the magic to their rightful owners.

After promising to visit again soon, Alexa returns to her kingdom more confident, and more willing to participate in her princess duties. As for Malucia, her parents return from their holiday and scold her for trying to take over the kingdom again.

Plot[]

When she finds the perfect spot in Windemere for her community garden project, Princess Kara gets into an accident while using a flying machine created by her friends, Madison and Makayla. Kara's protective parents warn her that the kingdom is more dangerous than she realizes, a sentiment shared by their advisor, Baron von Ravendale. The Baron is considered their most wise and insightful advisor, so the King and queen trust him, but secretly he wants to take over the kingdom. He first aims to create an elixir to give him superpowers, which will help him achieve his goal. But his pet frog Bruce accidentally knocks the elixir over, where it pours down a drain and spills on a caterpillar, which glows. The caterpillar climbs on a tree and creates a cocoon from which it emerges as a sparkly butterfly.

The Baron makes his frog Bruce track down ingredients for the potion while he does his usual activities. Kara herself gains superpowers when she is kissed by a magical butterfly. She discovers her powers the next day, and she tells Madison and Makayla about it. Kara finds out that she can fly, has super strength, improved agility, and realizes that it was the butterfly who gave her powers. Madison and Makayla tell Kara she can only use her powers to help others, not for personal gain.

While Kara would like to start her community garden project, she knows her parents would disprove of it, so she assumes a superheroine alter-ego named Super Sparkle, and her friends design her a costume. Super Sparkle rescues her cousin Corinne, a construction worker, and reporter Wes Rivers from being hurt at a construction site. She then realizes that she forget about a royal reception and rushes back. The Baron sees Super Sparke in action and wonders how she got her powers but focuses on getting the remaining ingredients that he needs.

Back in her bedroom, Kara tells Madison and Makayla that she could rescue people and capture criminals with her powers. They reveal that they have created a secret base to help her find emergencies. Kara prevents a robbery, and the Baron finds the last ingredient for the elixir. Kara's sisters Zooey and Gabby tell her that they would like to meet Super Sparkle and suggest inviting her to Kara's birthday party next week. Kara saves someone from a fire and takes a photo with Wes, who has done a lot of reporting on her since she began being a superheroine.

On her birthday, Kara sees that she has many fansites and a tribute music video. At the party, Kara's cousin Corinne says she thinks Super Sparkle is overrated, but the King and queen express gratitude towards Super Sparkle helping people in the kingdom. Kara leaves to stop another robbery, and Madison and Makayla distract her parents until she gets back. Without realizing it, Kara drops her ring, which Madison and Makayla created to have superhero tools.

Corinne sees Super Sparkle change back to Kara, making her the only person besides Madison and Makayla to know Super Sparkle's real identity. She overhears them say that the butterfly gave Kara powers, so Corinne tracks the butterfly down and receives a kiss. She gets superpowers and creates a superheroine alter-ego named Dark Sparkle. Wes finds Kara's ring, and the Baron finds his last ingredient. Super Sparkle and Dark Sparkle meet and become rivals.

Wes sees photos of Kara and Super Sparkle wearing the same ring, so he exposes her identity on his blog. Her parents forbid her from acting as Super Sparkle, and the Baron doubles the ingredients to intensify his potion's powers. He says to Bruce that he will rid the realm of its King and put an end to Super Sparkle and Dark Sparkle. He drinks the elixir, finally gets superpowers, and tries to attack the King. Corinne uses her powers to save him, so her family finds out she is Dark Sparkle.

Kara's pets, Parker and Newton, try to help stop the Baron and find the butterfly, so they get superpowers too. The Baron tries to attack Kara's family at a stronghold they are in for protection, but it can withstand any assault. He goes to Mount Dormant, a volcano, and causes lava to flow towards Windemere. Dark Sparkle helps Super Sparkle to divert the lava to a lake. Parker and Newton help Dark Sparkle and Super Sparkle stop Bruce and the Baron and imprison them in the stronghold. Kara and Corinne decide to work together to make Windemere a better place, and Kara begins her community garden.
